Photos from Street A(rt)nimation 2017 in Luxembourg city!

For those who don’t know, leaving Luxembourg is extremely easy, as it is very well connected with the rest of Europe. Also, considering that most people living in Luxembourg city are expats, there would be high chances for the city to be pretty empty during the summer. But they thought about this and they found a solution, called Summer in the City!

Every year, from 21 June to 7 September, the city puts on festive clothes and celebrates the most beautiful season of the year. Festivals, concerts, street animation, a huge funfair, you name it. Everything to make people happy and to keep them home. Well, it’s probably fun for tourists too. OK, maybe it’s mostly for the tourists. But I like it anyway. Especially because I don’t need any incentive to stay in Luxembourg during the summer, as I just love the weather (I really can’t stand the heat wave that hits Europe every year). So, these festivals come as a bonus for me.

Street A(rt)nimation is one of these festivals and takes place during two days, this year on August 11-12. It features street artists, pantomimes, stilt walkers, musicians, acrobats and more.

Update:

Aaand the Street A(rt)nimation festival has ended. I took the kids out for the evening shows and they were delighted. All the shows were lovely, but I took my camera just for Aquatica. Here are the pictures:
