Steampunk Convention Echternach

This Saturday, I went to Echternach for the Steampunk Convention with the theme “La transformation de la Petite Marquise”. To be honest, I don’t know much about steampunk, but I’m not really saying no to a photo opportunity. I found lovely costumes, nice music, bought a few souvenirs and had fun.   See more photos in the slideshow below: The convention continues on Sunday as well (6th of August), at the historical market square in Echternach, Luxembourg. Some of these photos are available for licensing.

Luxembourg aerial evening views

As promised, I came back to City Skyliner today and shot some evening photos of Luxembourg city from above. It’s nice to see how the same views look in a different light. I bought two tickets, but couldn’t use the second one, because there was quite a long queue after the first ride. So, I guess I’ll be back with more photos next week 🙂 But until then, here you have some aerial views of Luxembourg in the evening (click here if you want to use some of these photos): I’ve also made a short video so you can test …

Luxembourg from above: photos from City Skyliner

When I first heard about the City Skyliner coming to Luxembourg I was thrilled. See, I just love seeing the cities from above, so I always try to find the highest place wherever I go. So, when the Skyliner opened up, I had to take a ride on the first day. Installed in Place de la Constitution, the mobile tower is 81 m high and offers a (rotating) panoramic view over Luxembourg City. The ticket costs 7 euro for adults, the ride takes about 15 minutes in total, and the views are lovely. It operates between 11 a.m. and 9 …

Photos live forever

I took these photos during a cold, early autumn morning about three years ago in the Kirchberg forest, in Luxembourg city. The sun showed up and offered me a nice, warm light to play with. As I went alone, like most of the times, I thought I should just take advantage of this beautiful light and be my own model. So, I put the camera on tripod, set the timer on for 10 seconds and, for each shot, I ran in front of the camera and took a different pose. I didn’t think of photographing myself when I went there, so …

Christmas market in Luxembourg

Hey, guys! As I said in my previous post, the Christmas markets have opened in Luxembourg on November 22nd. They’ll be open until December 24, in Place d’Armes, Place de la Constitution and Place de Paris, turning Luxembourg in a fun and colorful Christmas village. If you haven’t got the chance to visit them yet, I took some pictures, here’s what you can find (slideshow gallery, use the arrows or slide left-right): I’d like to make a suggestion, if you’ll allow me to: visit them during the week, when there’s much fewer people around compared to weekends. Let the Ho-ho-ho be with you! …
