Schueberfouer Luxembourg

Schueberfouer

Schueberfouer has been around for almost 700 years. In 2017, it will be its 677th edition, between August 23rd and September 11th. It’s the biggest and oldest funfair in Luxembourg and some say it’s the oldest in the world, although this is questionable, as it was just a huge market at first, when it was founded by John the Blind, on 20th of October 1340. Luxembourg aerial evening views

As promised, I came back to City Skyliner today and shot some evening photos of Luxembourg city from above. It’s nice to see how the same views look in a different light. I bought two tickets, but couldn’t use the second one, because there was quite a long queue after the first ride. Installed in Place de la Constitution, the mobile tower is 81 m high and offers a (rotating) panoramic view over Luxembourg City. The ticket costs 7 euro for adults, the ride takes about 15 minutes in total, and the views are lovely. It operates between 11 a.m. and 9 …

As I went alone, like most of the times, I thought I should just take advantage of this beautiful light and be my own model. So, I put the camera on tripod, set the timer on for 10 seconds and, for each shot, I ran in front of the camera and took a different pose. I didn’t think of photographing myself when I went there, so …
