Dear Tripod, I’m sorry

Dear Tripod, I woke up this morning thinking about you again. Flashes of our wonderful times together passed before my eyes, while I was still too sleepy to understand anything else, yet I was well aware that I have failed you. I’m sorry, Tripod. What a history do we have, right? We had explored every little corner of Luxembourg and we’d seen half of Europe together. Days and nights, just you and me on empty streets, above misty hills or under lonely bridges, shooting countless photos and videos. You were too heavy at times, but I held you. When I was …

Steampunk Convention Echternach

This Saturday, I went to Echternach for the Steampunk Convention with the theme “La transformation de la Petite Marquise”. To be honest, I don’t know much about steampunk, but I’m not really saying no to a photo opportunity. I found lovely costumes, nice music, bought a few souvenirs and had fun.   See more photos in the slideshow below: The convention continues on Sunday as well (6th of August), at the historical market square in Echternach, Luxembourg. Some of these photos are available for licensing.

Sënnesräich Park in Lullange

This past weekend, we had some family fun at Sënnesräich Park in Lullange. Have you visited  this place yet? It’s great! The kids were delighted by the playground and the green labyrinth. The garden is open every day: While the park itself is nice, but may not seem very special under Luxembourgish standards (there’s a great park everywhere you go), everything changes when you enter the 5 senses rooms, the indoor part of the complex. Now, that’s a well done leisure area, both for kids and grown ups. They have so much fun things to do there! The 5 senses rooms are …

Art on Rue Philippe II

I saw a few installations on Rue Philippe II in Luxembourg City over the past years, but I never had the curiosity to learn about them. This month however, I got intrigued by the futuristic and rather unusual installation and I did some digging. According to City magazine, those big pipes you can see above the street in the center of Luxembourg are called Air Deluxe and have been installed by HeHe, a French artist duo based in Paris (Helen Evans and Heiko Hansen). The temporary installation was selected by Casino Luxembourg out of 7 shortlisted works. The concept is …

Luxembourg aerial evening views

As promised, I came back to City Skyliner today and shot some evening photos of Luxembourg city from above. It’s nice to see how the same views look in a different light. I bought two tickets, but couldn’t use the second one, because there was quite a long queue after the first ride. So, I guess I’ll be back with more photos next week 🙂 But until then, here you have some aerial views of Luxembourg in the evening (click here if you want to use some of these photos): I’ve also made a short video so you can test …
